Hello all,
Although i've been a member for a while this is my first post on the forum. I'm relatively new to Djing and although I currently possess the sound and music equipment necessary, I am yet to purchase any lights.
Can someone offer me any advice as to what lighting equipment I will need when catering for small/medium sized events. My budget is probably £200-300, though if necessary could be stretched. Alternatively, please provide a link to a thread where this is discussed on the forum.

A £300 budget will get you some sort of light, mainly 50/100w mini moon flowers or the such, remeber you really need to buy 'pairs' so you can set them up mirrored (one on the left hand side, one on the right hand side), no doubt Chris will be along presently with some better advice.
Remember though the cheaper the light, the more bulbs it will use, and the bulbs will be more expensive

Welcome to the forum... glad you have posted! I strongly recommend twister 4s - which I am sure chris P would be happy to give you a price (ooo does he do em?). They are very effective and you can link two together! Most disco shops have lights on display so you can take a look and see what they do. Always try before you buy!

hi,
what aboput a pair of acme puma's, jaguars or panthers.
they are dmx lights and i am hoping to get 4 panthers soon. although that would only be 2 heads.
if you dont want dmx you could look at something like the chauvet obsession
