Hi all

I have a wedding to do in a couple of weeks that the bride has informed me she has no idea as to what music she wants to walk down the isle to! kid.gif

Organised!

So I am putting a few suggestions to her she says she wants to keep away from the classical stuff, Pacebel, Queen of Sheba etc and wants to go contempory but has no idea asto the tune or song she wants...... wallbash.gif

So over to you guys, the floor is open for answers on a postcard to..........................................................

My wife came down the aisle (at the registry office) to "You're still the one" by Shania Twain... Which was quite appropriate really, cos of traffic/roadworks she was late (and so got rescheduled to later in the day, haha). The first line of the song is "Looks like we made it".. :)

Wedding disco for a lovely couple I'll never forget. Sadly, as mentioned before, the location had to be changed last minute - two days before the big day!
Poor Bride chipped her tooth in the morning after clashing heads with the bridesmaid.
Wedding car hit a cat on way to church.
Only half of the expected guests arrived; the Grooms parents couldn't attend due to getting over food poisoning, the barman supplied the wrong connectors for the mobile bar but did manage to get the beer flowing some hours later, and it rained all day.

Anyway, the first dance chosen by the B&G: Britney Spears, Lucky. rolleyes.gif

As to the question, "she has no idea as to what music she wants to walk down the isle to", how about an instrumental version of a track she likes?

This is a little unusual.

Walking down the aisle is probable the most memorable part of a persons life.
I don't think that anybody other than the Bride is really in a position to choose her tune, even putting suggestions there is tricky.
To help her out she needs to be a little more specific than "keep away from the classical stuff".
Maybe some sentimental tune that means a lot to her, maybe something that has an emmotional link to something that has happened to her family or friends.
Another thing is what type of music is she really in to? There may be something that has been recorded from her favourite group or band.

Another thing is when she says she wants to avoid the classical stuff, does she really mean avoid the traditional stuff?
She may like something like Whiter Shade of Pale, or there again Billy Idols White Wedding could be what she's after.
Is she a rock chick or more of an angel?

Some local Register offices sell a CD of the most popular music used (Classical).

It may be worth a go.. My wife come down the aisle to For Your Eyes Only by Sheena Easton.

I personally would let the Bride and Groom choose the music for the ceremony as it should be their choice on their big day.
