I'm asking for some advice on what time of music I can play at an awards evening. The client wants some sort of background / intro music. It has to be subtle. Any ideas? thanks, Shaun

Not sure exactly what you are asking...if you want bits of music for each award to play when the person doing the announcing says...And the winner is...

You need to have a good chat with the organiser, find out what the award is or alternatively something about the person going to be getting the award so that as they are running across the floor to collect you can blast out something exciting but specific that everyone will understand.

To give an idea of what I mean...

If its the winners of a ladies tennis doubles you could play Here come the girls.

Someone that has collected a lot of money then you could play the bit of Pink Floyd Money when the cash registers are going with the noise of coins etc.

Someone with a nick name like Tweety pie you could play a bit of the Birdy song.

For an outright winner then Simply the best.

A winning Team then We are the Champions.

House keeper of the year then I want to break free.

Babe of the year...Hot stuff

A lad with a rep for the ladies then Mr Loverman.

A good general one I have used is Boogie Tonight as it has a very exciting up tempo bit.

And so on...hope that helps but for maximum effect you need to talk with the organiser to make it specific.

Agreed. M ust talk to the organiser, maybe he just wants some background music or individual tracks as mentioned above.

If you let us know what the award evening is for, we may be able to give more examples. whistling.gif
