My diary normally fills up with kids parties for these months.

Then there is Valentines day! Im booked up for that! bring out the slow records!

We thought that Jan and Feb would be quite, how wrong can you be, we are amased at how many bookings we are taking and are even refusing some.

And we thought we could have a break till the wedding season....

Jan and Feb both very busy for me.......its March Im concerned about. Our hotel is fairly quiet which is one reason but looking at last years diary I was out hell of a lot more. This month just a couple of weddings and three dinner dances

Due to a matter of a personal nature, I was unable to commit myself to enquiries in Jan & Feb.

I passed on enquiries or suggested others to call as I was unsure if I could do the work.

Now that the 'matter' is looking 'sorted', I've been able to pick up 1 or 2 gigs, but in fact, it looks very, very quiet for me.

I've had an offer for 9+ hours work for under £300 - sorry, but to the chap who contacted, no thanks. I'm not being ungrateful, but it has to be said that it will take me 3 hours to get to the venue, there's no overnight accomodation laid on, no food mentioned, and considering the start time is 7.30pm, I wouldn't get home until around after 7am.

That said, I'm glad others are doing well.
This time last year was very hectic for me too, which was a surprise, as normally it's considered 'quiter' after Christmas. Well it is this year!
