Hello everyone Happy New Year to you all. thumbup.gif
I need some advice if possible, I have a Denon dual Cd player the one with the green play button and the red cue button can’t think of the model number. Anyway I am having trouble when I am DJing on a wooden dance floor that when ever the party goers stamp or jump on the dance floor it occasionally makes my cds jump??? Now I have used these CD players in the past in the days, when I was a Redcoat, so I know they are good Players. I have my head unit and mixer in a flight case and my player (the other half in a small rack) this all sits on a 6foot disco stand. So can anyone give any idea what I can do as it really annoys me that I can’t play certain songs due to the punters jumping. Im not sure if this players is shock resistance and I cant take it back due to the fact that I recently bought alot of equipment from a ex mobile jock friend who has gone to live in Australia and he made me a good deal on it all. 042.gif

Grrrr Denon *Mutter Mutter*, *Grinds Teeth*

It's a 2000F isn't it??? wallbash.gif - although by your description it could just as easily be a 1800, 2100 etc etc the Denon cosmetic appearance is often the same.

I'm not a big Denon Fan (Sorry Gary!) in fact i've owned hi-fi cd players which outlasted the £999, 2000F that I once owned and never miss the opportunity of bringing up the subject whenever possible...what a complete waste of money that was - especially when I found out that the CD Pick up was nothing special and exactly the same one as they used in their £79 DCD series Hi-fi Players...now I feel cheated smile.gif .

Whether there is anti-shock fitted or not - it sounds like the CD Lenses need a good clean (A proper physical one - not just buying a £6.99 Cd cleaner from Argos!! smile.gif ) or more likely a CD Re-alignment check. CD Player sensitivity is often caused by a dirty or mal-aligned CD laser pick up. Take it to a dealer and get the unit serviced - should help to improve the problem.
