I'm using a laptop for a party and am wondering what is the best software to put all my tracks in, auto level the sound and set up playlists.

I've used iTunes before which was OK but I know Winamp is better.

I'm basically setting the music and playlists up on this laptop, and copying to an external hard drive. My brothers laptop is going in his boot so if this one fails, I can quickly connect up an iPod for 3mins while I get his laptop booted up.

I also want to be able to set it up and have it pretty much automatic.

Thank you! biggrin.gif

If you just want to play tracks on after another and have them crossfade then take a look at mediamonkey.

Very easy to see your tracks by Genre, Artist etc and setup playlists.

There ia a free version and a registered version with some extra features which costs about $20 or so, so not prohibitively expensive.
