http://server5.uploadit.org/files2/271203-deckmix.mp3my first ever beatmix

what you think? did it on a pair of numark cd decks.
note: the media is legal as the quality is low & each tune does not last above 30 seconds.

Hi - I'm glad you took the time to share and upload your 'beatmix' for us.
When mixing older tunes - like the ones you chose, remember that the 'beat time' was 'live' and not computer 'quantized'.
Therefore, it will always be slightly 'harder' to keep the beats matched and in perfect time.
That said, you've had a go, and it's not that bad. DJing is always a learning curve - especially when 'mixing' older tracks.
Keep it up and enjoy.

unfortunatly by the sounds of things u have created a "hot" signal going to your recording device which makes it a bit horrible to the ear (plus my jbls dont like it lol). to reduce this always keep your mixer on the green LEDs not the RED ONES even when runngin through an amp. also the mix sounds ok. practice makes perfect. try recording some more but make sure your mixer levels arent too high.
remeber that not all DJs were great straight off. work on your mixing skills and with time you will get better.

thank you for the support, its probably my first beatmix ever. i did do a beatmix between make luv and chain reaction once but this was totally an accident. (ie it wasnt planned, i just happend 2 press play and the tempo just happened to be the same). My mixer levels are always on red

how do i get them off red? and yes i know the quality is low, didnt have much time to setup the recording program to good.

Lol Good Old Kev - subtle as a house brick but honest as usual.
Still, cheered up my night!
Good to have you back!

hi there ...
sorry to say this, but i think i would have to go with DJ Kray.
please understand that i dont mean any bad things by saying this, its just that i dont like things with "sugar on top", and i like to hear things as they actually are, so i gave my opinion clear and true, but dont worry .... keep up the good work ... we were all beginers at some point.
hope i have helped
