Do any of you own/use a Kam KCD990 duel CD Player or simlar. I have this problem. In the intruction manual it tells you exactly how to loop a certain part of a track. BUT!!! At the end it says press the loop button. Now tell me if im being stupid here but theres no LOOP button in sight. Does anyone no how to loop on this machine who could possibly explane to me how i would do this.

Any help would be very greatful

Cheers

Just had a look at my "unused" 990 laugh.gif , I cant see a loop button on it , it arrived without a manual so I dont know if one of the other buttons has a dual purpose ?,

Also had a look at my Red 960 model , it does have a loop button , I wouldn't worry about your 990 not having a loop , if its anything like the 960 it is cr*p at looping, no way is it seamless ! sad.gif

Your kidding. So they've sold it me with a seemless loop and there aint even a loop on there. Could anyone advise me on a duel cd player around the £300 mark which has a seemless loop function on and other useful functions

I'm sorry, this won't help you, but as Tony said, I never miss an opportunity...

ANOTHER REASON NOT TO BUY KAM!!!!!!

There we go my first mistake. I jumped straigt in and bought the first thing. Consider my self grounded lol. oops.gif Is it very often that a Dj would use a loop. For me it would be very handy seeing that i do kids parties and i could keep playing the intro while im organising a party game.
Chrispy
This is just my own personal opinion, and not that of CSL, and feel free to flame me to a crisp over the bar-B-Q if you want but....

If you bought a KAM consider yourself lucky that it (1) Works and (2) Plays CD's. Worrying about options which don't exist are secondary concerns tongue.gif

From personal experience as a PREVIOUS Kam Owner, The average MTBF (mean time between failures) of each of my KAM CD Players was around 3 months

I also forgot to mention, that I once modified a Kam to play CDG Discs smile.gif , in the end the CD+G modification pcb was worth more than the Cd Player wallbash.gif .

I've got 20 seamless loop buttons across my CD-decks, shall I "Stanley Knife" a couple of them off, and send it to you to glue onto the front panel of your KAM? or is there more to it than that? 533.gif tongue.gif

Show off!

But Chris...everyone should have one (or two, or four, or eight...) per unit. and of course, everyone should buy them from you. thumbup.gif

Besides, I was seamless splicing a lot of the time too. That long-winded lyrics section in "A fairytale of New York" about it being "Christmas eve in the drunk-tank" got taken out everytime. biggrin.gif

Gary how many times have I told you.....CD's are for playing music.

Woman are for playing with stupid.gif

(Something tells me that i'm going to pay dearly very soon for that comment!) bash.gif

At least twice...I'd say... fish.gif box.gif

Oh, I've spliced the boring bits out of the current "no.1" "Mad World"... It now has a total playing time of "0:00:00". sleep1.gif Still, its a good excuse to play the original version.
