I have some Guinness Books on music and I've done the usual searches; I just wondered if any of you can recommend a book based on personal experience. Like I said, initially it's to prove the release year of my tracks.

Thanks guys.

Although the Guiness ones are no longer produced, I have bought the Virgin one. It's quite similar.

I've got one by Graham Betts ... Uk hit singles, it's up to 2006 but I don't know if there is a later edition. You could always use this ... http://www.everyhit.com/index.html

Trust all is well Rich, keep meaning to phone you to let you buy me a coffee! biggrin.gif

Rich, I guess you are cataloguing your Ots library. If you are, do you know if you are uncertain (don't know) the actual year of a track then you can put an * in the release date.

So, let's say you have a Little Richard track, you're sure it's from the 50's but you cannot pinpoint it precisely then simply put 195* in the release date section. When you then do a search of say 'rock and roll & 1950s' the track will be picked up, clever eh! Good old Ots. biggrin.gif

Rich,

Text the record name to 0797 0717 448, a reply will come back to you within an hours.

Next time we meet up, I'll work out how many times you have used the service, and invoice you £25 per request.

Sounds good ?

Wedding costing more than you first thought, eh? Trying to recoup your costs of poor, unsuspecting northern folk...

Simon...thanks for that piece of advice, it is for Ots.
