Hi all,
I've been swapping lights around recently I managed to bag a brand new Laser Cluster 3D for £188 delivered on Ebay. There are plenty of sellers offering to 'Make me an offer' ... so I did. PM me and i'll tell you who it was.
Anyhow back to the laser. Tonight was it's first run in a Village Hall with a high ceiling. I pointed it to where the roof meets the wall at the opposite end of the hall.
So far I have only tried Auto Run, and Sound Active modes and to be honest I prefer Auto Run, It never seems too fast or slow, where as the Sound Active seems a bit picky about the level of the music, although I will play with this. I has also got 5 channel DMX from who you can run Auto, Sound or what you like including Strobing, Rotation etc. I will play will this when I get time.
People have said that these lasers fill a room and i'm like 'yeah whatever'. THIS THING DOES! ... The beam angle is very high and the effect could seen all over the ceiling, the back wall and some of the side walls. The hall is no more than about 35 feet long.
With haze the effect improves even more.
The only downside I can think of, is that the red could have done with being a bit brighter as the green overpowers it a bit. Also I wouldn't point it directly at a crowd as there is a static green dot which holds one point as the laser rotates. I guess 40mw, diffracted into hundreds of beams isn't going to do much damage but I wouldn't want that bit pointing at the crowd certainly.
I recommend you check on out or even buy at that price!

I concur! It's a cracking light, I've never had so many positive comments or people watching it do its party tricks than any other light. Wholeheartedly recommend it!

Me too !!!! I'd been 'borrowing' an original star cluster up until a few weeks ago and decided to get meself one of these 3d versions. Although not quite as cheap as above (£200 I paid) but I was really impressed with it the other night.
The gig I had was in a small room so it didnt really 'perform' but I would recomend this light . I tried it out in the back garden the other night it it does have a good distance esp. on the green. Red could possibly be a bit stronger? But this might have an effect on the yellowish colour it produces when the 2 beams cross/meet.
Lots of comments on it too. Had a few 'regulars' notice the difference aswell for the better.
And they seem to coming down in price aswell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why, are you feeling left out?
This could be bigger than the L1's
