Another great and cheap form of advertising is to send professionally printed cards out to local hotels, these cost anything from 50p upwards, spend £50 on 50 to 100 cards, 100 stamps and it looks good and MAY get the telephone ringing

Tis good idea and effective form of advertising but I don't send them to all of the hotels I play at during the year. I have a residency which keeps me busy most weekends. I do send the hotel owners of my residency a card and normally some gift vouchers but rarely work at other hotels to warrant it. Not a bad idea tjough if you're looking to get some work from a particular venue

I sent out 500 printed ones to clients and past clients.
200 Hand written to friends and family
And before anyone complains - I HAVEN'T GOT YOUR ADDRESSES, HAVE I.

Thanks to everybody who took the time to send me a Christmas Card, Especially C.S who airmailed one from Norway.
The post was actually made, tongue in cheek, as most of my comments are

well.... as per usual i have writen all my cards out, mostly to my support workers, friends at college, teachers, friends at theatre, and as per usual i have been unable to give out many of these cards:(
oh well ... nver mind ... nothing new there.
