Just wondered....

If you have two external hard drives, is there a way, or software, which will look at both hard drives and update each so they contain identical files. So if you save a file on one, when you plug them both into a PC, it automatically copies the file onto the other hard drive, thus making them identical again.

Hope that makes sense.

This would make both drives identical to your main drive. Not sure if that's what you want or not.

Other than the fact I don't really understand what that is, I don't think so!

What I want is the two external drives to automatically become identical when connected

I use this to sync my back-up drives.

SyncToy 2.0 in use here. I suggest you use the contribute mode, which means if you delete a file on one drive you can always get it back of the other one.
