hope you can make some sense of what i am on about. I have lost the safety pins that makes sure my goal post light stand does not fall apart, you know the ones like a pins goes through the hole and then another pins/split pin kind of thing stops it from coming out. Does anyone know where you can get these from really struggling to locate them, or if anyone knows the proper name for them it might help me in my search

You can safely replace them with 'high tensile steel' bolts of a similar size which are available from car spares shops, DIY stores and good ironmongers. Generally speaking, any bolt with a fine thread will be made of high tensile steel, but any bolt is better than no bolt at all. Any small engineering shop will be able to make you some , but the cost may be a bit OTT
