Like it, hate it, use it, or ignore it, everyone has their own thoughts about file sharing - we've covered those in other topics before.
However, if you, like a friend of mine, do use Kazaa for downloading music, watch out for a problem which seems to have cropped up in the last month.
My friend downloaded several "current" tunes, and found that after about 30~60 seconds they looped back to the first verse and just repeat the same 30~60 seconds for about 3 minutes, then fade, like a regular track should do.
The only way around this? Listen to the track after downloading it.
Damage wise, this could obviously make some people believe that certain songs are repetitive and therefore people could lose interest, or not buy that artists new album when it comes out. So, if this current action IS being sanctioned by Record companies, they might be cutting off their nose to spite their face.
Still, its about time that record companies woke up and realised that computers and music go together so well.
