hi,
right i DJ in a club where i mainly play 80's and before.
anyway im struglling to find music thats quite party starting from mainly the 80's im only 18 so i wasnt born in the 80's!!
i usually play such things as:
queen- i want to break free
deacon blue - real gone kid
dexys midnight runners - come on eileen

anyway keeping along them lines what other songs can i play while it picks up? before i start on such songs a billy jean, all the dancy ones anyway.

Why not try the Flashback 1 + 2 albums or Good Grooving Grandmaster series from Musicfactory? All of them last about one hour and are pre-mixed.

I don't know how much research a lot of you guys and girls do but sometimes it's essential, especially when it comes to genres you don't know much about. For 80s - watch VH1 Classic, watch TOTP2, listen to specialist radio stations, buy the Guinness Book of Hit Singles (and read it), look at 80s compilation cds and talk to your customers.

I'm impressed you can remember anything at your age. For us youngsters we have to rely on research though! kid.gif

I remember the 70s..mind u I wish i was a teenager in the 50s n 60s,The music was wicked.I really envy my dad sometimes.
