Which Is More Popular Request Wise...? Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive or Abba's Dancing Queen?

I voted Dancing Queen as my wife always requests this song ... and Summer of 69!

Dancing Queen has a much broader appeal, and is a far better song.

Unfortuantely when it comes to karaoke, Gloria Gaynor's whinge about her sore back is far mor popular. Both I Will Survive and the prat Williams' pension plan (Angels) should be banned from karaoke.

Dancing Queen without a doubt, I can't remember the last time I was asked for I will survive and I rarely play it.

yes... karaoke isnt brilliant. Graham and I host a few disco/karaoke nights, but I much prefer hearing the real renditions of the songs and watching people dance to them. Beats getting mic feedback, screaming, shouting, and that terrible bad high note you know they cant reach.

Yes, "Dancing Queen" is good for dancefloors, whereas "I will survive" is more of a "lets have a sing-song cos we're censored2.gif" sort-of-track. Works towards the end of a typical village disco though... You can often hear a chorus of slurred renditions when its played...
