cha cha slide... very hard to include unless you have a right up for it crowd - and if they are line dancers that really helps! And... now its time to get funky!
Dukesy
Agree with Kazz!

The Casper Slide Pt2, I feel, is a lot better than versions 1 & 3.

Me and 'The other arf' show the 'routine' at kids parties. School Disco's are fantastic with 150+ kids participating!

Adults find it really funny too!!!

Perfectly serious about the cha cha slide... provided that you have the cojonnes to get out there and show the steps it does go down a storm... at kids parties.... ! Have you tried it? It is very hard to get hold of here - I had to import mine from usa!

yeh ive had it for a few months now, very hard record to get though.
kazzachi
One thing I will guarantee... if you dont show the steps to the cha cha slide then you wont get the audience into it at all... luckily when my eldest daughter went to a holiday camp (!) quite a few years ago, she was taught the step and in turn taught me! Same as the Purple people eater.. without showing the dance routine you will send the audience flying off the dance floor!
C.S
I can honestly say that i do not have any songs that i always play,i do play snap-the power and deelite-groove is in the heart often but not every time i play.

Since the Cha Cha Slide keeps coming up, here is some further info:-

The Dance Moves!

There is a Dance Mix of it for Clubbers on the new Clubland 4 CD

The Cha Cha Album is available HERE

Some useless Information....

The Cha Cha Slide is a dance created by Chicago DJ and performer Mr. C -- short for Casper (his real name is Willie Perry, Jr.). Driven by his called-out instructions ("Slide to the left! Now, slide to the right!"), Cha Cha Slide is sort of like the Electric Slide's younger sister with quite a few added twists and turns.
Mr. C developed the slide in 1996 as an aerobic workout for a trainer at Bally's Fitness. "It works your whole body," he said. "If you do the dance [properly], you'll feel it everywhere." Cha Cha Slide -- named after the Latin "Cha-Cha" step that is part of the dance -- became a hit with gym members and word of it quickly spread beyond the aerobics studio. Mr. C also found himself in the recording studio when the dance's popularity prompted him to record the Cha Cha Slide: The Original Slide Album CD, featuring his instructions over an infectious bass beat.

In 2001, the dance started to catch on in various parts of the USA, particularly in Chicago, Atlanta, Detroit and Houston where urban contemporary radio stations (and later mobile DJs) began playing the song. Request keep coming in and making Mr. C a hit!

Blimey! What a wealth of information our crispy is! Although the instructions are called out in the song, you will have to get out there to show em all... If anyone is confused about what "charlie Brown" is... its a pretend to skip with a rope motion! And yes, this does keep you fit... I always use track 4 off the album - seems to be the most popular!

....and each piece of information, equally as useless as the last 014.gif

The version of CL4, is quite good at the right function, and easily obtainable, although sadists amongst you may prefer the album 221.gif

I got it tucked away on Mastermix 206 but I have not played it and will not until asked and asked again....... it's like Black Lace for the 21st century thumbdown.gif

It's due for release on single (and in remix) on 8/12/03 I think.... low key, minor label issue.

Didn't they say that about the St Winifreds School Choir in 1980?? and it went on to be no1 scared.gif - I only remember them since I fancied the little girl at the Front (I was only about 7 at the time!!!!!!).

Maybe we got it all wrong and the Xmas 2003 Smash will be the Cha Cha Slide biggrin.gif

Well I never really cared to look into the details that much.... It wouldn't matter if it was performed by The Beatles, it's still painful sadwalk.gif

I think Caspar should have stuck to being a friendly ghost wacko.gif

There is a great mix of the Cha Cha slide by Casper on the Clubland 4 CD's the new Hardino mix. It's speeded up a little so the dancers will have to do the actions quicker!

I started playing the Cha Cha slide back in 2001. At one of the venues I introduced the song as a lot of people didnt know it, then said my sister is going to show the actions!
C.S
Guess what,Cha Cha Slide aint reached here yet and the fast food rockers fell on their arsenal. biggrin.gif

is the adult version of:-

and if that isn't enough to scare the very pants off you, then this will.......

The schoolchildren who took an unlikely musical tribute to artist LS Lowry to the top of the charts have been asked to reform.

The pupils from St Winifred's School, Stockport, provided the backing vocals when Brian and Michael had a number one with Matchstalk Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs in 1978.

They have been asked to perform at the country's biggest amateur choir competition at the Lowry Centre in the artist's home town of Salford next month.

Among the singers, who also had a Christmas number one in 1980 with There's No One Quite Like Grandma, was Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay - barmaid Shelley Unwin in the soap - who organisers hope will join the reunion.

Sainsbury's and Friends Reunited are appealing to the choristers to get in touch and join with 700 schoolchildren to perform the song at the centre, which houses Salford Council's collection of Lowry's works.

Sainsbury's Choir of the Year manager Sophie Balch said: "With over 700 children singing at the Lowry Centre it offers a one-off opportunity to relive the Matchstalk Men and Matchstalk Cats and Dogs success.

"Having the original St Winifred's School Choir would make it even better."

Sainsbury's spokesman Paul Martin said: "Some of the choir have contacted us already and are delighted at the chance of getting together again. They are now in their mid-30s and many of them have children of their own."

Some how Chris, I kinda knew what you would do if I suggested this!!!!!

I had some t-shirts logo'd up a couple of years ago as something to wear whilst humping the gear. ( smile.gif )
The shirts were rubbish and now look 'tatty' but the logo actually still looks brand new!!!!

The 'Thistle' is actually a hand made 'gift' from a designer I know.
She makes all sorts of arty crafty suff and bespoke 'giftware' out of ceramics.
And, She also has a website if anyone want's her details for purchases or enquiries.
(PM me or email for the contact / URL details)

By The Way, the caption should read (I suppose I can enter, can't I?!)
