Just wanted opinions on how you guys store cd's. I carry mine in cd bags from case logic.
I am looking for alternative ways as I spend a lot of time looking for those eleusive tracks - you know the ones you play regularly that elude you every week.
Ant recommendation anybody??

i use the standard DJ CD boxers, which hold 100 discs. But get quite heavy.

A Laptop??

instant track finding within seconds simply by typing in all or part of the artistes name / track title - for instance typing "Mad" would bring up all the tracks on the HD by MADness or MADonna - but by typing MADNESS would only bring up the tracks by MADNESS

I still use cd flight cases.... but if I do change over to case logic or similar I know it is going to take me a while before I feel confident in putting my hands on the required track - as with anything, it takes time!. Mind you - with my flight cases, if I lend them to my hubby he can text me and ask for a track and I am able to text him back and tell him exactly where and what case the particular cd is in.... its because I know my collection really well!

Hi,
Ive recently changed from carrying many flight cases with cds in their jewel case to using just two and placing all cd singles in those see through plastic sleeves you can pick up from a computer store. Much more efficient then before, the cds are even in a rough alphabetical system (work that one out!)
For the tracks i play a lot ive simply made up mini discs of certain genres with the tracks on that get a play at 90% of the events I do. Makes the night easier, allows you to play similar tracks together in a mini 'chart set' or 'soul set' for example.
Have also made up identical cds to cover against mini disc players not working, or vice versa

Judging by the cost of a bottle of Jack Daniels in Norway, I bet you need a mortgage to buy a laptop!
