Look I know this has nothing to do with buying equipment... but I cant get my assistant up and I wanna share something! I picked up my eldest daughter tonight to bring her home and we were listening to 2-ten fm radio... well a competition came up... just had to leave your name and number... so I told her to do it! Then I said "you are going to win, you are going to win" and I made her repeat the statement. I then phoned and left my name and number. Just as we pulled up outside my house, Jos (my daughters) phone rang.. I answered it.. they asked for Jo.. and she had won! (ok its only a cd - but she won). We delighted in the fact that she had won... got inside when my phone rang... Jo answered it... passed phone to me... and guess what... I had won as well! Tomorrow I am going to buy a lotterly ticket and I AM GOING TO WIN.... Could you all now please chant this with strong belief and I will let you know what happens!

Talk about talk too soon.. Lucky, Lucky me? Huh.... last night it was "Somebody HELP ME"! The worst thing happened! I was fully loaded.. kids and all... ready to leave.. nice early 4.30pm to get there in tons of time..... car wont start... oh no! Neighbours to the rescue... jump...jump.... NOTHING....5.00pm by this time.... wouldnt normally be a problem but del is working doing an installation in Southend..... Oh NO! I am sweating by now... phoned hotel... warned them two possible answers... either I would arrive approx 9.00 or I would get another DJ.. .I know that my arrival could not be guaranteed at 9 because del is so far away (he doesnt normally work saturdays either so WHY THIS SATURDAY!). Anyway, afer phoning about 25 djs trying to get them to cover... decided to take a risk and go with someone recommended by someone who knew someone(!)... I had to make the decision that any dj was better than no dj as this was the first christmas gig for my hotel this year. Why does it always happen to me!
Anyway, thank goodness, the DJ to whom I will forever be in his debt, done the job, punters wanted more.. so all in all I can breather a sigh of relief!
