The term "unit" refers to the height of each piece of rack equipment.

One unit is about 1.75 inches...about 19mm (i fink). Denon Cd decks are usually 2units (2U) high for the drive/drawer unit, and either 2U or 3U for the control panel, depending on model number. The control panels for the DN2600f and the mighty DN~D9000 are 3U.

When shopping for system cases eg:mixer+cd drawer unit+cd control panel, you may see systems cases showing 3 measurements eg: 3U +5U +2U. This would mean that the case offers 3U on the rear slope for a CD control panel, 5U for mixer, and 2U for a cd drive unit.

Depending on your budget, some great flip panel designs can be made to order.

Hhhhmmmm Im not familiar with the sizes of the Fusion mixer, however say, for example that its 5U...the Denon DN~D4000 is a 2U control panel and a 2U drive unit, so the system case should be 2U 5U 2U (IF the mixer is 5U high)

it says size-width 19"
height 10.5 "
depth 4.5"

when racked the unit occupies 6 rack spaces !!?????

Robzter... if you are handy with a saw! My hubby made his own case for his denons... worked out really well... and cheap!

robzter, 1U is equivalent to 44mm. so measure the front panel of your mixer and then work out how many units you need. the CD player i would imagine would be 2U for the transport and another 2U for teh controller, so if your mixer was for example 264mm then you would need to buy a 2U,6U,2U case.

Hope this helps

Sorry - just read your earlier post in more detail - Yes your mixer is 6U, you need a 2U 6U 2U case
