I really want to learn how to dj using software and a controller and i'm wondering if anyone knows any specific books that focus on this.
I have seen "Djing for dummies" and numerous books on how to be a dj, does anyone have any recommendations?

As there is a wide selection of software - the best starting place will be the software manual.
Some DJ software also has support forums.
There is also a section here for PC DJ's;

It very much depends on the controller, although for most of them the principles are the same as using a dual CD deck and mixer.
