I am starting a new dance track and the idea I have for the main hook is close to something I have heard before but I just don't know what it is.

I think it's a classic anthem from the mid 90's. I've tried searching through classic compilation albums on the web but it is taking forever to find it and unfortunately google isn't very good at searches for "da dada da da da da".

Any help would be appreciated as I would love to hear how the original track goes, so I can nick some ideas from it.

I've simplified the melody, it probably doesn't sound exactly the same as the original tune I am thinking of but I'm sure it had the same sort of 2 osc detuned synth that I used in the link.

2 Unlimited were famous for using this sort of synth sound but I think the tune I am thinking of had a little bit more street cred than 2 Unlimited.

If it's any help, I am almost sure it had a vocal one liner, possibly in Italian or spanish, just before the synth line kicked in.

I initially thought it might be Sash or DJ quicksilver or somebody in that sort of style but I can't find anything that sounds similar.

I started off with a full head of hair before I accidentally played that melody, now I've just about ripped it all out trying to find out what this tune is. Please put me out of my misery before I will have to resort to a doggy looking comb over.

That would have definitely drove me insane. I was way off, thinking it had a foreign vocal line. I doubt I would have got it by my self because its defiantly not the way I remember the song at all but after hearing it again I instantly recognize it as being the song I was looking for.

I do know the CD single has a curly-haired woman on the front!

Very distinctive hook, and a great 90s toon. Must try to play it soon, although there seems to be very little call for 90s dance at the moment.
