Hi folks

my dj partner has an escort 1.3 I. At the moment we're loading some of the gear int he car and the rest in a borrowed flat bed trailer.

We're on the look out for a box traler, I need to know what sort of size a 1.3 I will comfortably pull. 6ft x 4ft twin axel.

I don't drive, for obvious reason smile.gif so need some help here.

I've seen an 8ft x 5ft twin axel for a good price, but partner is worried that it will bugger his engine up.

Thoughts pls.

Thx

Darren

I think legally the weight of the trailer (loaded) should not exceed the weight of the towing vehicle and ideally should not be more than 80% of the gross vehicle weight. Towing has more of an effect on the clutch than the engine. Hope this helps.

Depending on when he passed his driving test also check what type of trailer is allowed (legaly rolleyes.gif ) on his license before parting with cash smile.gif
