wacko.gif Yo, guys im new to the forums, and wanted to tell you what i have.

System
I have 2 Pioneer CDJ 800's
1 Pioneer DJM 600

Sounds
2 B-52 12 inch speakers on stands

Lighting
1 American DJ Dyno Fog II
1 American DJ VERTIGO
1 VSTAR RED

Thats it! What should i expand on my system, i dont know what too add to it. What does it need?

My sound is just good enough for my room, what else should i get, is bass the way to go?

Lighting, is there a basic unexpensive light effect i can get? Should i add a dico ball to bounce some light?

Me and my bro go half on everything so money is not that big of an object if it needs to be had well work for it. But less expensive is always better.tongue.gif

Hi

I'm not going to suggest what you get next as it will very much depend on what you're using it for...there are a lot of other folks on here more experienced and qualified to suggest further purchases.

I did, however, wish to comment that less expensive is not best as you'll be replacing the burned out piece of budget kit within a year or two. If you can afford to go for a higher quality of item, always best to invest, it will last longer ans save you more cash in the long run.

Good luck.

I think it depends on if you are planning to stay in your room or move on!.If i were you i think i would start looking at the bass options biggrin.gif

It's interesting when I've over-heard other 'DJ's' buying gear in a disco shop.
Some say they want more lights - others more sound gear.

More doesn't mean better - but quality, is a good point of 'benchmark' to follow.

If your sound system sounds good - the music will speak for itself, so I would say, once your happy with your audio department - the lighting will follow!
Also, if you plan to perform to a larger crowd - your system will cope if you have the right ratio set-up.

Perhaps some of the other members would like to list their sound-system gear for what they would use at a function for:

I was looking into bass. Are B-52's a good place to look for subs? And whats the difference in enclosed subs and regular ones?
