I'm gonna go against the grain here as I can't stand Abba.
Whilst I agree that they were exceptionally produced, I can't abide their music, although I will play Dancing Queen & Gimme gimme gimme on occasion, but if they are requested, then of course I'll play them.
But to me, Abba & great don't work together.
I'm now gonna hide and wait for the rotten tomatoes to be thrown!

OK, so I can't stand Abba.
I hated Stock Aitken & Waterman in the 80s, but I've grown to love their stuff in recent years.
Now that's what I call great 'Pop' music!
'The Man' hides again........

Pete Waterman once said '
I thought if Oasis could get away with sounding like The Beatles, I could get away with sounding like Abba.' Normally these days if I play ABBA at a wedding I would include several as a mix - Dancing Queen has to be in there, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Super Trouper ...
How do you like your tomatoes James

Abba megamixes go down very well at functions. Abba on 45 or mastermix type tracks.

I realise Abba goes down well, which is why I play them when asked or when I think I need to.
I realise that I am a rarity in disliking Abba so intensely, but I look at it this way, you guys have been wrong about other things too...lol
