Just purchased a DN-X900 at an amzing price, to compliment my hd-2500

Connected it up via ££££ Digital leads, maybe it's psychological but the sound does seem loads better??

Someone please humour me...

Just getting best quotes on hd2500 and dnx500 mixer.

What price did you get 900 for?

Was looking at that 900 but extra $400.

I go it from a DJ Centre in Colchester, it was a B stock (ex demo) and cost £350.
I found them on ebay by doing a search for the mixer, paid an extra £15 for next day (Sat) delivery,
1 year warranty, brand new condition, box, manual etc.

Super deal.

Shopped them here approx $1200 = approx 600 pounds

Got to be happy with that.

Do you mean that it sounds better than when connected with ordinary analogue leads, or better than your previous mixer with analogue leads?

Either way, no, I don't think that it's just psycological, I too can hear a difference when using the same mixer and the same audio device, then connecting them up through digital coaxial connectors versus ordinary analogue connectors - even if using the same RCA leads -

The current range of Denon DN-X rack mixers have earned themselves a reputation of being very clear and punchy sounding.

Just one extra word of advice (again)...always buy your equipment from the same country that you're intending to use it in. I noticed that some of the posts above were quoting prices in dollars, but then noticed that it the poster concerned was in Australia, so that's ok.

There are a few places flogging imported kit to the UK at the moment, claiming that its UK spec, and has a full UK warranty - sadly they are not correct in their claims. The imported units have their serial numbers scratched off to prevent the dodgy importer/exporter from having their supplier/distributor traced via those serial numbers - without the serail numbers you cant register for warranty/updates etc.

Besides (and this is a whole other topic altogether) isn't it better for DJs to support their local (or at least their national) DJ suppliers. The joy of and ability to visit the "local" DJ shop is rapidly dying out.
