ok guys iv had this idea for a few week now and finaly got round to doing it. instead of a black starcloth i was going to use a white cloth and backproject something like this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9ZiST2aQxE...feature=related without the music lol effectively turning my the bottom of my table into a screen.

did that make any sence lol

anyway i wanted to klnow your thoughts on it, if anybody uses this, where i can get cheep projectors and would a large tv have the same effect?

thanks guys

All I can say is it wont be cheap and you're moaning about buying a new goalpost lol

I've seen something like that done before.

The difficulty is that the smallest lead, or box, or bag (or pint) which ends up under the table, in the light path is going to show up as a shadow to the audience - not good, unless you're planning on doing Shadow Rabbits to keep the kids happy. laugh.gif

However - with that little pitfall covered - if you've got lots of space behind your disco setup, and can definately ensure a "quarantined" area of space under the table, between the light source and the sheet/screen, then even something basic, like a couple of crossed LED colour floods on a very slow (or DJ adjustable) cycle could yield very good results.

yeah i thought about the light issues and also the space i would need between the screen and projector which i dont have! thats why i thought about using a large old tv which i just happen to have lying around lol just didnt know if it would look as good. thought i could also have my logo and num spinnig around every so oft lol
