Hi all.

I am running seperate tops and subs with seperate amps running through a Behringer crossover. My mixer has seperate high, mid & low adjustment per channel.

Would any one advise adding an graphic eq into the system (bearing in mind the amount of adjustment I already have via the mixer & xover)

I want the sound quality to be good but don't want to add any thing that is not completly needed.

Any advice ? 533.gif

Thanks, Glenn.

The obvious answer is..use your ears. If it sounds fine as it is, I wouldnt bother sticking anything else into the signal chain as too much processing can degrade the quality. If you think the sound is lacking something in certain venues then maybe an EQ may help, though often it just gives you something to play with and get wrong!

Thanks for that.

getting it wrong is what concerns me.

Don't bother with one.
An equaliser is a device used to offer an easy 'fix' for some imbalance somewhere. If you haven't detected one, such as a bit of harshness around 6KHz for example, then you have no need or use for such a tool.

I`ll be getting one as I have a rumble on my subs in some venues.. The bottom end needs to be turned down very slightly and this can`t bedone on my mixer eq.
