As some of you know, the last two weeks showed three heavyweight chaimpons deliver their albums. Two of em, had to ship out early, cause da 'hood couldn't wait. One of em, is bout a famous rapper, deceased now tho....

as of last week, nov 14, tupac resurraction soundtrack was first

but predictions for this week, however are jay-z's final album The Black Album (which i purchased....very good buy), at top on the charts which come out on nov 14, and G-unit's album Beg For Mercy coming out on third (also came out on nov 14, and i purchased it as well....good buy). Tupac went down to number 2 spot.

For those looking to buy albums, i suggest u don't get ludacris, chicken & beer, very poor buy....only about 2 or 3 songs worth listening to, the rest is just junk....

anyways....that's my little rap report from my little home in canada biggrin.gif

tupac resurraction was in the top 10 for movies viewed in North America....

other then that.... fear.gif

what is the yo yo chart!

Its named after the salutations, where two or more Hip hop or R'n'B dudes gather around the local record/CD store album chart poster, and greet each other...

I didn't get much of a different reaction when I played a few snipets from the Jay-Z album at the staff lock-in after Sats Gig.

The discussion (in-between sips) went along the lines of Jay-Z being an "OK" name in the rap genre, but piggybacking some fame from his inclusion on Beyonce's "Crazy in Love".

Over the years there seem to have been a number of rap stars that have tried to appeal to crossover (influencable) audiences, by teaming up with more widely known names. EG: Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Jennifer Lopez...have all given track time to various names from other genres. Although sometimes the tracks go down better with audiences/dancefloors when the "guest" sections are spliced out.

I guess it helps both artists out to a certain, lop-sided, degree.
