Hey everyone!

I read the DMX guide thats pinned in this section but i still had a hard time understanding it. If i'm totally missing the point with this post and need to referred back to that then please feel free to do so.

I recently purchased a stairville DMX Controller
4 X LED par56 and 10 par56
3 4way dimmer packs

I've hooked them all up and but i can't manage to figure out how to manually control each light from the board. I've tried all sorts of ways, all of which are probably absurdly wrong.

The biggest obstacle i suppose is controlling the LED's so i can manipulate the colour outputs. if i could have them all respond as one group i would be delighted. at the moment they are just going according to their own thing.

Err.. you don't link LED pars up to a dimmer pack, infact you could possibly damage the power supplies by doing this.

Link from the controller into the first LED par, then into the next, and so on.

Set each par to channel 1 and push the 1st fixture button on the controller. All the pars should then respond to the controller.

To control them all seperatley you'll need to address them 16 channels apart, so 1, 17, 33, 49. Then buttons 1-4 will correspond to each par can.

To program scenes and chases you'll have to read the controllers manual.

ok cool, so once i have the led's hooked up can we do a dmx daisy chain from the last one into the dimmer packs which have the pars plugged in and assign them addresses? this is rockin my world.

Yes, daisy chain them.
Again if you want to have all the dimmer packs doing the same set them all to the same channel (not the same as the LEDs though)
