OK, one for the tech guys (looking in your direction Gary)...

There has today been a new OTS AV upgade which makes it compatible via MIDI to the HD2500.

In VERY SIMPLE terms... what does this mean??
Gary
It means different things to different controllers...in the case of the DN-HD2500, it means quite a lot.

OK, the easy bits... You'll be able to use your DN-HD2500 with OTSsav as though the DN-HD2500 was a dual CD-Deck controller...so, the PLAY button will start the tracks, the jog wheens will pitch bend/search the tracks, the loops buttons will loop, etc.... It'll give you hands on DJ'ing in a more robust and well built way than most earlier controllers.

But...assuming your firmware on the DN-HD2500 is up to date...you'll also be giving your laptop access to one of the best quality, low latency ASIO soundcards available. - yes...at the same time as running OTSsav, or any other single "DJ" program.

So...in those very simple terms that you were asking for:

Connecting a Denon DN-HD2500 to OTSav, or any othe compatible program will give you great sound quality output from that program, and true DJ-like, hands-on control. Also, you'll still be able to use the DN-HD2500 in it's normal stand-alone mode (after a quick 15 second power cycle, should your PC/laptop go dow with an attack of the gremlins. This power cycle can even be performed without interupting music which is being played from a CD, if your're using the BU-4500 drawer units.

Thanks for that Gary... I knew I could rely on you...

So, OTSAV will still do the auto-play and everything else, it's just that the HD2500 will become the play button, hot starts, etc etc....

Sounds very interesting....
