i have just got a second hand mojo scan 1 but it has not got the Discharge bulb one qustion will the head set it self when powerd up or will it need the bulb as when i power it up the head does nothing

can anyone tell me if there is a prob with the light

should still perform a self test without the bulb - so when turned on the top mirror should sync its position.

should still work with no bulb (other than no light of course).........

final thing - this type of fixture is not discharge is either halogen a1/259 or a capsule type (not sure on this as never had this version)

The Geni Mojo Scan 1 uses an A1-259 ELC halogen dichroic, it doesnt accept a discharge lamp.

It should initialize at power up with or without the lamp fitted.

it need discharge lamp HTI 152W it is a lot diffrent than the mojo light which has a 24v 250w

I thought you said it was a mojo scan 1? These are a Geni product.





HTI152 lamps are certainly discharge...however you mustn't power up a discharge fixture with the lamp missing, you can wreck it due to the ignition HT flashing over.
