Another true dance classic has appeared on a few playlists recently. Going down an absolute storm again particularly late on at weddings in a 90's dance set.

I've the White White Room album in the loft, a great 90's band. Worth reading the wikipedia article on them;

I used to love the KLF. I bought their album "The White Room" years ago when it was released and was absolutely gutted that the album versions of some of the tracks were completely different from the radio edits. Last Train to Transcentral and 3am Eternal are still guaranteed to get my toes tapping though.

The Blue man group use Last Train to Transcentral as the last song of the show at some locations, Toronto is one I remember.

Great stuff ....KLF and 30 miles of toilet roll ( you have to see the show to know what I am talking about)

Bros are still popular at 40th birthday parties or 80's style nights. Certainly last year I played 'I owe you Nothing' and 'When Will I be Famous' a couple of times each.

'When Will I be Famous'

Had that requested at an 18th the other week.....which was a surprise!
They seemed to love it too, which was even more of a shock!!!

Great song with great lyrics "All bound for Moo Moo land"...

A good tune - but one that does make you wonder about how deparate (or not entirely sober) they were for some of the lyrics.... ("And drives an Ice Cream Van..."??? Poor ol' Tammy W.)

I liked the KLF under their "Timelords" persona too - with those square cardboard daleks... laugh.gif

Now you go me singing along in my head now! dammit!

I dont think it was drink that was doing it too them......more a substance thats smoked or injected LOL

Have a listen to a lot of 70s tunes.......the age of free love and drugs.......some of their lyrics were just freaky!

Im gonna play KLF at the weekend as a tribute, I often do a 90s dance set.....but have yet to slide in a bit of The KLF.....its just gotta be done now LOL
Norfolk DJ
Played it again in a 90's set last week. Went down ok.

Slip Justified & Ancient in with the Bus Stop version of Kung Fu Fighting and the N-Trance version of Stayin' Alive. Goes down a treat in a wee cheesy guilty pleasures set.
