Thanks in Advance

I'm not familiar with that particular light but most (if not all) of the Acme LED lights are styled on (although not exactly identical to) the American DJ ones.

To clarify a similar question I had about the ImpossibLED I sent an email to Acme with my queries and they answered within a couple of days.

The more likely answer is that American DJ lights are made for them by Acme, since Acme make for a number of brands, JB Systems being another example.

I bought the Relflex LED a couple of months ago. It was only £69 and it's an excellent performer for the price, with built in, pattern changing programs. I used it last night and it's real room filler.

As a point of interest and a comparison, I still have a pair of Constella Twin Orbiter units which I bought around 15 years ago. These each have 2 orbiting mirrors plus an internal dichroic colour dish which reflects the light from an M33 lamp.

The principle of these is the same as the Reflex but the difference is the Constella units are massive, weigh a ton and cost me £200 each!

Thanks for the response.

I'm about to put an order in for an ImpossibLED and thought I'd buy two Reflex/Tangos at the same time.

What do you think?

I think you would have more than enough there for most functions.

Only one observation.

I use colour changers for background ambience then add effects lights as required.

Although I'm not using them at the moment ( I have Acme icolor3 units ) LED PARS would be ideal for this and cheap and lightweight.

I do have a sequencer I use for colour wash but its only a cheapie.

Are you thinking something like this...

[size=2] Hi.... I buy a lot of product in China etc. for my 'other' business, i checked on asian sources website
also googled led lighting china...and found there are only a couple of companies making the led lighting you are talking about (as all the products are made by a 3rd party) go have a look price it up if your buying few maybe worth it.

No. These may be quite good but I was thinking in terms of LED PAR64 units.

I bought a pair of the Stairville ones from Thomann, thinking I might change my set up to keep the weight down. They were effective but I decided against it and sold them on.

Cool, I'll check it out.

Guys as this is pretty much going to be setup in my games room, I'm now thinking the Reflex's may cover too large an area.

The room is just larger than 20' square, so would two reflex's be over kill? What about 2 Dual Gem's ? or one of each? They don't look as good in the movie as the reflex but would possibly be better directed at the floor?? ......... http://www.ukdj.com/index.asp?PageAction=V...mp;ProdID=29972

Sorry for the change in question but I'm new to this kid.gif

Thanks in Advance
