I'm starting a "Featured Roadshow" area on the forum, where members can submit latest pictures of their Roadshow's for viewing by DJU Members and Visitors.

Since "Partychris" had already asked me to add his photo's to the photocall section, I thought that I would use them as an opportunity to start the new feature.

If you want your roadshow piccy's added to the list of "Featured Roadshows" then email them to me over the next few days smile.gif .

Here are "PartyChris's" featured Roadshow pictures:-

Cheers for posting the pics for me, it was the first time in a long while we had used the full set up and allowed to use smoke/haze.
well spotted there are a couple of ghostly figures, this was the way my friend was taking the pics, although looking at the people there saturday night they did look a little pale! and lack of life !! should have checked for a pulse.. 095.gif

Ill make a guess that it takes no longer than one hour with two peeps to set up! Thats still 4 hours less than mine takes with four peeps!
kazzachi
No...on second look - two people half an hour!

Yes, a very nice rig and nicely set up- note the use of DMX colour changers for the ceiling high colour flooding that I mentioned in another thread - although at most gigs I only use around 2 or 4 depending on the venue thumbup.gif

Which brings me to my next question. Surely this rig must be for "Special Hire" only?, since I couldn't believe that you would go to this much effort for an average function at a local village hall?. Is this your main system, or like Kaz's is it only hired out for specials - with a price to match?.

The reason I mention this, is that many newbies here may feel that this is representative of an average set up smile.gif and feel a little over awed!, whereas I think that Mikeee's show is more the average set up and similar for most of the members here - certainly my "standard" package has around 6 lighting effects and a couple of lasers for very large venues.

Would be interested to know the price that you would charge for that sort of gig.

Also, its difficult to tell the size of the venue from the photo's - but I'm guessing that it's not a small hall with 40 guests scared.gif

For transport- I'm guessing Long Wheel Base Tranny or Merc??

Thank you beer.gif all for the nice comments on my roadshow,so now i will try to answer a few of the questions.

1) how long to set up? well this is the first time it has all gone out as a lot of the front bar is new equipment, so i had to program the new lights on the p.c that runs all my lighting so from parking the van (transit) to lugging up a nice flight of stairs to being a happy bunny with the set up 2-2.5 hours with 3 of us. but if were in a hurry this could have been brought down to 1.5 hours !.
2) this was for a wedding and the reason for taking it all was because i had a friend who is a photographer who wanted to come along and take a few shots (over 300) for us so i can get a new web site up and running! normally we only take the tri light at the back with the lighting thats on it as a standared set up, this still give the WOW factor !
3) Charges !!! well i would not take all this out for less than £300 for 4 hours, do you think thats ok or too cheap or to dear?? let me know..
4) at the end of the day i enjoy DJing and i love lights and lighting just as much so i really dont mind going out with this as a normal setup (if there is the room !). Call me mad if ya like..
