It's been included on a couple of play lists recently - the Osmonds and Crazy Horses.
Good track, but does anyone play this often?

Nope!
And, quite honestly, can't stand it. Only gets played if requested.

Actually I bought the Osmonds Greatest Hits cd recently because I was doing a 70's themed night. I was going to play Crazy Horses because I do think it's a good song, much heavier than you'd imagine for them as well. I prefer their more Jackson Five type hits myself. Both Donny Osmond and Osmonds seem to manage to tour quite often, so yeah for the right crowd I'd chuck it on among the Sweet, Slade etc.
But then I'll always try something different...

Can't really understand why it's turned up on two playlists, anyway as there are paying me, I will play it at some point during the evening

I did an 18th Birthday party some time ago and it was requested. They went crazy
Almost immediately after it finished I had a swarm of teenagers asking me to play it again. Strange because apart from that one tune almost every other request was for current chart, R n B or dance music.
Don't think it's been asked for (or played since though)

Have it on vinyl somewhere in the depths of the garage.
Never requested
Never played.
It's an ok track good for nostalgia not much else

Let's see how brave you are - tell them you don't have it but would be happy to play 'Puppy Love' or 'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' instead

A classic because it's old, Steve??!
Actually it's up there with offerings by The Sweet, Mud & (brace yourselves) The Bay City Rollers.
Stands out a bit as it's well removed from the Osmonds' usual offerings.

What did I say!!!!
You wait it will be the Partridge Family next!
There actually are some great rockin tracks from the 70's that were thought of as real cornball stuff at the time, but now looking back they actually sound ok. I think the Rubettes cut some great tracks that are much better than their sugary "Sugar Baby Love".

Sugar Baby Love? Sugary??!
Great song, and still reminds me of the school bus...

Yeah it is a great song, but it's still sugary!! Doesn't make it bad.
I saw the Rubettes in concert a few years back and was amazed that Alan Williams could still hit those high notes. I suppose I just prefer songs like their "I Can Do It', "Foe Dee Oh Dee" and "Juke Box Jive" etc.

Ahh, I used to play Bassheads - 'Is Anybody Out There?' and that contains a sample of the guitar riff from Crazy Horses.

Rubettes, How did he get those high notes

What a great 70's tune, hot weather, new motorbike, I remember this tune been played to death on the fairgrounds along with Waterloo, Shang a Lang, Devil Gate Drive etc.
Yeh' I know I must be sad, it's an age thing
