I was in early tonight and had watched the only thing worth taping (Have I Got News For You) so it was down to some channel flicking and I came across VH1 top 100 Floor Fillers. Unfortunately they were already at number 19 so here's the list of those & somebody else will, hopefully, fill in the rather large gap..... smile.gif

19. Wham - Wake me up before you go go
18. Modjo - Lady
17. Donna Summer - I feel love
16. Nelly - Hot in heere
15. Ce Ce Peniston - Finally
14. Bee Gees - Stayin' alive
13. B52s - Love shack
12. Sophie Ellis Bextor - Murder on the dancefloor
11. Steps - Tradegy
10. Village People - YMCA
09. Robbie Williams - Rock DJ
08. Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
07. S Club 7 - Don't Stop Movin'
06. Deee Lite - Groove is in the heart
05. Madonna - Holiday
04. Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come on Eileen
03. Gloria Gaynor - I will survive
02. Kylie Minogue - I can't get you out of my head
and................................

wait for it........................

at number one...................

01. ABBA - Dancing Queen (quote Peter Springfellow - If you don't dance to that you shouldn't be in here. Quote Bjorn - we were corny!)

Other quotes from the programme:

Robbie 'Rock DJ is a great party song'
S Club 'Most of our records appeal to the 8 - 12 year olds - Don't stop movin' reached a larger audience'
Jeremy Joseph 'I used to be one of those awful DJs that talked between records!!!'

So there you have it - I've checked the VH1 website (www.VH1.com) and the full list is not there - well not yet anyhow. I also can't recall the producers asking us unless they logged on to this forum as guests rolleyes.gif

There are lots of disco remixes of Abba songs, a good starting point would be the ones done by Abbacadabra . smile.gif
Ian Stewart
Abbacadabra did do a dance mix of dancing queen, I use it all the time

Your really determined to try our Warning System aren't you Nammu?? rolleyes.gif

The Forum's P.M system still works
djnammu
Hey Please tell me anot what makes you get a warning so that i dont do that!!!

Try reading the "Rules" - since you agreed to abide by them when you registered rolleyes.gif

Downloading MP3's is an illegal activity, regardless of how popular it is or in what context you define "illegal". Directly asking for sources of illegal material on any public forum isn't very smart and on this forum it is unacceptable since it could easily incriminate you and draw unwelcome attention to us, and may jeopordise the future of the forum.

If you want to ask these sort of questions then restrict it to the P.M system.

The rules exist for your safety, as well as our integrity.

Emmm.... and that was the end of that!

On the subject of downloads (legal channels!) - it's a shame that these legal sites only seem to have the tracks you would be easily go into your local HMV and buy anyway! It would be good to find on that specialized in rare, difficult to find and specialist tracks fish.gif
