A "dutch auction" is a slang term left over from my buying days. It is a term applied when a customer plays one or more suppliers against each other to gain a better price - sometimes to the point where one supplier ends up selling the item(s) at very little or no profit, just for the sake of pride

.
Sometimes the customer, does have a genuine quote, other times the better price can be purely bluff. I'm sure you've used this method when out shoe shopping Kazz??

. Either way it often reaches the point where either supplier will gain nothing from it, I used to do it myself, so I know when to stop. Besides's before even considering this approach I always ask for proof of the better offer to see if it really does exist.
Where from Kazz??, Come on!, you can P.M me!
