I have an 18th next Friday.. here's the playlist...

"A good mix of disco music to suit all ages"

And then..

"Breaking Benjamin, Bullet for my valentine, Poison, Thin Lizzy, Paramore, Iron Maiden, Muse, Puddle of Mud (She F hates me), Nickleback, Stare Sour through glass, metallica, disturbed"

Somehow I think you're going to have a better night!
Reverandfunk
Think I'd have given that one a wide berth danno lol

I love rock but unless its a total rock night I think you can only get away with a couple

Why not?
I play alll those at just about every function I have ever done from 18ths to weddings, and they normally go down a storm in this order.....

Summer of 69
Livin on a prayer
Sweet Child
Rocking all over the world - Status quo

Nolfolk - You mentioned Michael Jackson, but no mention of Billie Jean or Beat it......you could add those to the list of dancable Jacko tunes, they normally work well.
Reverandfunk
Personally Ive found that I can play 3/4 rock songs as listed but thats about it

Yes instead they have gone for Black or White , which is not a popular track. I will play it and add in Billy Jean.
