Hi everyone,
I was wondering what advice I could get about starting out. I read through a lot of your other newbie posts and I think I want to get into records instead of CD's. I would like to do both house and scratching. This is I've wanted to do for a while now, It's mostly just for me, but if i ever got good enough it would be cool to play for money somewhere. How much should I spend generally? In American dollars. I don't want to spend more than I have to or get taken because I don't know prices. I don't really want to invest in lights yet, im definately not there yet. I guess that's all, any help would be great and thanks for letting me join your site.

Hi and welcome, sounds like you have a good place to start,as far as how much money to use its difficult as i dont know record prices in the u s but you are going to need to get equipment and a few records to practice with.

Hello and welcome 042.gif don't forget Chris I also do enjoy my mixing and still use vinyl my first advice to you would be to decide on one genre of music that you really prefer and start buying as much as you can afford before you start spending too much on equipment any more detailed advice do not hesitate in asking me biggrin.gif
