As per the title - I have a wedding coming up and they want the Theme Song from Notting Hill - but which one is it?

Also during conversations the name Rolan Rafferty cropped up in connection with this - is he a character in the movie?

Wasn't it Ronan Keating - When you say nothing at all.. thats the song I imagine most would associate with the film anyway...
DJGAVT
Elvis Costello - She was a big song in the film also
NRG Roadshow
Their is actually a theme to Notting Hill by Trevor Jones.
Its on the official soundtrack cd.

My guess would be either Ronan Keating for Elvis Costelo being the one they want though.......more so Ronan than Elvis though.

Dont forget.....
Aint no sunshine - Lighthouse Family
No matter what - Boyzone
they are pretty well known from the film too.

And ive never heard of roland raferty......its possible I guess that they are refering to a paticular scene in the film when this track was playing......can they not give you a clue, it could be any one of a number of tunes LOL

Well, interesting question...

Ronan Keating nasals his way through 'When you say nothing at all' for the first big love scene and is reprised.

Elvis Costello destroys Aznavour's 'She' over the lovey-dovey, happily-ever-after climax to the film.

Boyzone's 'No Matter What' is played over the final credits, which is often the slot for the theme song.

So it's anyone's guess and you are going to have to ask the bride to be more specific, I'm afraid

Tried that (she's Russian).

Thanks for your responses gentlemen - just a hunch but maybe Rolan Rafferty is AKA Ronan Keating 533.gif Anyway I'll go back with this info and see if I can narrow it down (play a bit of each song maybe) - I'll get there in the end.

As a sideline although there will be a few Russian guests there they don't want any Russian music which is a bit of a shame - (I might just have a couple of tracks available just in case they change their minds).

A tip Paul.
I did a Russian wedding last year.
They will want rock and roll (50s, 60s style) at some stage and will love it..
If there are younger Russian girls there, they will like some Europop.

All generations of the Russian family will dance to Stevei Wonder - I just Called to Say I Love you.
It was in the Russian 'charts' for about 5 years and is loved by all.

Good luck

As for music, try the Volga Boat Song rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

One of them must be a golf fan too... mixing up Ronan Keating with the Irish Golfer Ronan Rafferty..

He probably would have done as good a version of the song anyway... rolleyes.gif

Far be it from me to confuse the issue even further . . .

But the end title music is principally:

Shania Twain - You've Got A Way

Now that is quite a Wedding-y song too if you think about it. :)

I played a bit of the Ronan Keating song over the phone to them and that's the one smile.gif

Thanks again for all your input thumbup.gif
