i was thinking about my early gigs last night and how cheesy i was and what a plonker i must have looked and sounded like.

i went through a phase of putting on a fake "huggy bear" type ghetto harlem black accent, really ott and out there

i thought i was well trendy and cool.
i imagined it went well with my starsky and hutch cardy and my patch pocket paralells. penny round collar over the top of my velvet jacket.
platform sole boots, flares, geez i must have been a real sucker of a dj roflmao.

trouble is i never got out of the habit and still do it now

anyone else have any real corny stuff they used to do? more to the older guys really i suppose as the younger ones have never actually lived through the cheese lol.


i forgot the jingles............had a tape machine built into my record decks, used to throw on a jingle every chance i got i was one of the few round our way that had one at the time.

Was a new romantic , leave the rest to imagination !

Have dressed up for fancy dress occasions, participated, etc.
I guess my biggest cheesy shame to fame was pretending to pole dance in a particular club to 'Hot Stuff'....and received a 'call' from a big burly guy who obviously took a shine to me and gave me HIS card!
Could have been worse I suppose, I could have picked up actual tips!

I wear an afro wig and a vicars outfit hence the name reverand funk. On occassion I use out intro which is the old spice music which then goes into the banana splits at which point i appear with an inflatible banana....
