Just wondering how most of you guys store your CD's for bringing to gigs?
I've been looking at a few options, Flightcases that take the CD and jewel case, Flight cases that have individual pouches for holding the CD's minus the cases and then the good old nylon cd bags.
Not sure about you guys..but I find modern CD jewel cases, especially double cases, are atrocious and fall apart and break with the slightest touch..so I'd be inclined to go the route of the flightcase with pouches and ditch the CD jewel case itself.
Any thoughts?

I use a bit of both....As both ways have there good points and bad points
I like to use the cd wallets because you can store so many in one case and like you said the jewel cases always break
Then again i like the cd boxes because i can look at all the cds at once and i like to stick a few cases up to help me with ideas to plan the night

Personally case logic folders, easy storage and easy to find, personally I think that looks a hundred times better than someone with flight cases full of jewel cases

They do - especially the NOW style double CD cases.
What I do is to repackage the CDs into separate slimline jewel cases - easier to index and handle. Only drawback is it looks like you have a load of home-made copies, what with all the home printed covers!

SLAPPA
Slappa Cases, I use these and find they are great and they hold the CD in 1 part and the Cover/Track Lists in front in a seperate case
A Bit more expensive but worth the moeny and made more quality
Hope it helps

Yep.... I've just been on a buying spree of Now Discs..and I reckon out of 10 of them, at least 9 have some kind of damage to the cases....
But the discs are fine thankfully
I think the Metal cases with the pouches that hang down like office files look pretty good..can hold a couple of hundred CD's in one fairly compact box...just hoping they'll take the cd inserts as well..don;t fancy writing all those song lists in by hand...

SLAPPA
How very dare you
Sorry, yes I know what you are on about really.
I have just started using these cases and they are very good, I am thinking of putting all my cd's in these now. Well made and well thought out storage and lots of different styles.

And too add I would not buy the larger cases 600+ with trolley, although they are good, I had 1 but sent it back,
I use the 100/300 cases easier to catogrise your albums

Another endorsement here for SLAPPA - everything that Mick said. Check out the prices on cd-wow.com, they're usually several ££ cheaper there.

slightly off topic but we never had such luxuries in the "olden days"
we used to pilfer old beer bottle crates for 7" singles and it looked like a brewery delivery when we rolled up.

ProDJuser flight cases and plastic sleeves works for me.
