Morning Guys.....

Here's my problem

I have an (Girls) 11th Birthday Party, last weekend on Jan 08

Now my dillema (Is that correct) 533.gif

The theme is 70's/80/Disco........

What sort of 70s/80s music would an 11 year old relate too (or is it just for the parents)

My plan was to kick of in the era's asked for and just see how it goes, if going bad, just revert to modern chart & kids cheese

What would you play, just a could of songs each Ta

To you all Have a Great & Busy 2008

Thanks for replys in advance

Abba/Steps etc. - Thank Abba for the music
Rufus & Chaka Kaan/Liberty X - Ain't Nobody

Hot Chocolate - You Sexy Thing (90s Remix version)
NRG Roadshow
What an odd thing for an 11 year old to ask for at their party....

Only reason I can think of is maybe the girl goes to dance classes and they have been learning 70s and 80s Discodancing?
So many of the kids going may well recognise more than you think they will....

But I reckon Dannos got the right idea, I cant however think of anything more to add to his list though LOL

Stick to the script, give them exactly what they've asked for initially. If it goes well, great. If not, keep appealing for requests and subtely mention to the parents that some modern stuff might liven the kids up.

Speak to them.
It could be 70s/80s dress rather than music - I have one of these in February.

My daughter is 10 and she knows a lot of the 70's/80's disco songs.

Don't forget the YMCA, that was 70's!!

I Think We Are Alone Now - Girls Aloud
Locomotion - Kylie
Blame It On The Boogie - The Jacksons ( played this at a 10/11 year old disco and they loved it and knew all the moves!)

After the great advice i received a few weeks back with regards to the teen parties i have done recently -

On both occasions i was issued with typical teen music playlists (Soulja boy, r&b, hip hop etc), some of these tracks were ok and a few of them danced however as soon as i added the cha cha slide, wake me up before you go go and even the macarena - the teens went wild!
