i think im doing pretty well ive only played 3 x-mas songs so far 1 at a private party and the old faithful all i want for christmas twice ( obviously at 2 different nights ) just out of intrest anybody still managed to not play any it is really hard to refuse peoples requests but i really hate x-mas overkill i think wekk before x-mas is time enough to go into full christmas mode

Funnily enough this weekend I did a Christmas party for an athletics club and, as nobody asked for any despite loads of other requests I didn't play one.

The saturday before, however, working a regular pub, I had to play three. 533.gif

christmas party without christmas music is classic that could be a theme night this year an auzzie x-mas done beach party style with loads of sunny summer clasics and everyone in swimwear ??? mmm

I love Xmas but I'm trying to restrain myself so people don't get fed up before the day itself. On Saturday I didn't play any until the very end of the night when I stuck on Mariah (All I Want...) and the place went banana!!! Think I might tease them for another week or two and save the real cheese explosion until nearer Xmas itself. (Unless I get a load of requests obviously)

I tend to hold off playing any Xmas songs in bars/clubs until the 17th Dec (my birthday) - no matter how much they ask for it! After that they can have as many as they like biggrin.gif
