What does anyone recommend to case up a HD2500,DNX500 and a DND4500 - main consideration is for it to be lightweight, some of the flightcases I've looked at weigh a ton! I'm looking at the Gator/SKB style ones - would the SKB DJ SHuttle be OK (I know it's got a soft paddede cover but that's not a problem) Or would splitting it between 2 cases be a good idea?
Any suggestions/advice?

I use one of these good protection, reasonably lightweight compared to a normal flightcase and plenty of room.
If you want to save a couple of quid and do not need an 11U mixer space then this may be a better option.

I use this 11u / 3u DJ KITKASE. It's very heavy but I have the 2500 + Mixer + DMX Controller + an extremely heavy QSC amp in there. Without the amp it's easily liftable by one person.

Thanks, that looks like a good choice - think the smaller of the two would do me. I'll get one ordered and will let you know how I get on.

Thanks - but it's very similar to what I have at the moment, I find it's a fairly heavy two hand lift - and living in a flat and having to lug it up stairs is a bit much for me...I'll give Ed's suggestion a try, looks like it is lighter and hopefully easier to carry one handed (like a suitcase).

This is gunna bug you now. hehehehe

I have just finished designing (well finished start of October) a brand new Road Ready professional case to house a Denon DN-HD2500, 4U 19" Mixer (e.g Denon 400/800500/900), set of 2u rack draws and 1U sliding rack tray.

The case is 7U x 3U, but has a slight extended height to allow for the depth of some mixers and the HD2500 itself.

The first design is due into the UK start of December. Retail value is still yet to be decided, but the case is getting a lot of interest from Denon HD and mixer owners due to its compact design, exact space dimensions and the great build and lifetime warranty from Road Ready.

Feel free to contact me for more information!

Well seeing as I haven't ordered the other case yet I'd be very interested - what weight does it come in at?

Well ive currently got all my Denon kit (HD2500, DN-D4000 dual cd player draws, and my X-900 mixer all in a road ready 2u slant rack.

Its a brilliant case, although im waisting 3U on the slant because the HD2500 is too deep and wont rack exactly at the front sad.gif. Hence why ive designed the new case.

My current case comes in at around 18kg fully loaded with the gear. Which to me isnt bad. I can lift mine ok.

I think what a lot of people realise, is that when you spend ££££s on top of the range gear, its always best to flightcase it. The ABS cases are all ok, but they just do not offer level of protection like the proper heavy duty cases.

The first case design is due into the UK in the next couple of weeks.

Its also very good too as Road Ready are supplying the first UK buyers with a free 1U sliding rack draw worth £29.99 Free of charge with the case!

I have one of these that I bought, not needed now if anyone wants to buy it from me, unused

We dont have the 2500 but the Numark D2 and use one of the SKB popup cases.
In this we can fit our dj mixer and all directly facing and so easy to use.
When full is still quite light and easy to carry with one hand.
