Anyone got a hastings amp model hdm704 i need help

circuit diagram or any info?

Whats up? Have you got some parts burnt out? The Hastings amps arent the most complicated in the world.

i took it apart to resolder one of the pcb board connections and now its dead, i think i may have connected up the toroid transformer outputs wrong to board, anyone got circuit diagram??

Sorry I doubt you'll get one, Hastings Disco were a smallish outfit who sold their amps direct through ads in DJ magazines....but any engineer will be able to reconnect the toroidal, the centre tap goes to the zero-volt line, the two outer legs go to the AC input of the rectifier. The mains will be self-explanatory, the windings can be identified with a multimeter, pref. analogue. There's often 2 mains 120V windings, they must be connected in series with attention to the correct phasing (get it wrong and the primary fuse will blow).

Any diagram for any class B amp would do really as all the linear power supply schematics are necessarily the same or very nearly. sad.gif

i will see what i can do, i wish i left it dusty now lol, just really need another owner to pop lid off theres and photo the connections, is hastings disco still going..?

I dont think so.

I think the company moved out of amplifiers and now manufactures electronic equipment for laserdromes!!
