What is the best way to create a new book? Are there any quick ways of cataloguing songs? Do you keep the pages in wallets? Alphabetical order of artist or song? Thanks in advance for your help

I keep mine in plastic wallet books and indexed by song title which most people seem more familiar with.

All mine are housed in plastic sleeves and live in folders, all in song title order.
I used to do half and half but found it was a waste of time.

I do all mine in file maker pro but there is an online thingymeo that you can use, I'll pm you the link as I think it may have links to other suppliers on it.

I use a Excel for my books, all in a folder with plastic (clear) front and back with plastic spine thingy, dont know about that much cos mum does it at work!

I use mine just as a back-up incase my comp packs up, or a client wants a quick flick through of what I have .

In Excel I can make folders in order of artist, title, genre or discs etc....

I use a prog called Karaoke Song List Creator by Airwer, I d/l the trial version first to try it out, I found it did everything I wanted so I registered it,
at that time I think it was £39 UK,

It prints Books in a number of dif way's,you can use your own numbering system. Also prints Request slips,Cd Covers with track listings, it also exports to Excell (.csv) & htm , & unlimited downloads of the karaoke database for new cd releases
from the makers website.

hyas all i have a program called kj pro that has a full listin of karaoke discs and as u buy them u just add the disc and it auto puts them in to the book for u by artist or song title brill little program and has saved me hours of typin

All these things were invented a long time after I started Karaoke it's not a prob for me just to type in the 1 or 2 monthly disc's but if I had to start it all again I'd definately use what you guys are talking about..

If any of you do type it all in manually then be careful, a couple of months back I relised i had Walking back to Hammersmith listed insted of Walking Back To Happiness, now I know why it never got requested

I too used to do both artist and song AtoZ, but got fed up updating the books!!!!

I normally give out 5 or 6 books, which are binders with plastic sleeved pages.
