I did a little set last saturday at a 21st which was sparked off by a request for the tune I played first....
Tell me mah - The Shamrocks
Irish Rover - The Dubliners
Scotland the rave (dunno why I tagged that on the end LOL)
They went bonkers for it, so I might do that one again at some point!
As for other party tunes in no paticular order.....
S Club 7 - Reach
Whitney Houston - I wanna dance
Jermaine Stewart - Clothes off
DJ Otzi - Hey Baby
Be*witched - Cest la vie

It was song the England Rugby team played in the dressing room to fire them up before games. One of the players can play a guitar and started playing and singing it, it then went on to them playing the full original version by KR. It really is a good old sing a long. I've played it in pub gigs and it does go down seriously well. Well worth 79p on i tunes!

I was amazed how well these went down.
The Nolans "I'm In The Mood For Dancing"
Toni Basil "Mickey"
Lulu "Shout"
but what totally shocked me was how badly Kylie went down!!
Paul Smith

Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline
Love Inc - You're a Superstar
Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl
Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer

As a member you can add your point of view to any thread (the only areas that require a minimum post count are items for sale and gigs required)

Monkees - I'm A Believer
Edwin Starr - Contact
Jackson 5 - I Want You Back
Tramps - Disco Inferno
KC & Sunshine Band - That's The Way (uh huh uh huh) I Like It (uh huh uh huh).
Most of the others mentioned also go down a storm at the right time....
Last night DJ Otzi's Hey Baby was well received, it had been asked for by about 6 different people, perhaps it was just one of those songs that went down well with them, I normally find that this now goes down like a lead balloon and only play if requested.
