I want a be a dj that uses records for better sound and to have some fun. What do you guys suggest and what do the average cost of them.

There is a really cool piece of kit called final scratch (i think its called that anyway tongue.gif )
anyway it allows you to use your decks just like normal vinyl but you hook it upto a computer so it allows you to use MP3's its pretty neat. You get 3 vinyl records with it which sends a digital signal to your computer telling it what you are doing to the decks speed and such.

Its great to play on, but have not used it for a long time (just in the shop till they through me out biggrin.gif ) so have no idea how good it is for gigs. The man in the shop said it was good but he’s trying to sell it.
If anyone else have used this please post cos iam thinking about getting one just for a play biggrin.gif

Yes I saw several versions of this at PLASA last year, still did'nt have much appeal though, personally thought it was a bit gimmicky.

I think its aimed at DJ's as a toy, I like it but I dont see too much point in it though you can do some cool things with it, I was quoted £350 for one. But in a year it will have come down to some sensable price smile.gif
